Care and Use
This pottery was designed for functional use and requires little special care. It is dishwasher safe. For oven use, pre-heating is not recommended as it could eventually cause cracks due to thermal shock. The excellent heat retaining capacity of this pottery makes this step unnecessary. As a general rule, any extreme temperature changes should be avoided, such as from freezer to hot oven or from oven to sink for washing.
The same principles apply for microwaving. Please note that this pottery may get hotter in a microwave than commercially-produced ceramic wares made specifically for microwaving. As a result, pot holders may be needed for all items, including mug or soup bowl handles.

This pottery is guaranteed against defects for one year from purchase date, provided that the above mentioned care is taken. If you find that your pottery has developed a crack under normal use within this time frame, please use the contact form on this site to notify me of the problem. Any reasonable claim will result in a free replacement. I do ask that specific details be provided of how the pottery cracked and, if at all possible, a picture be emailed to me showing where the crack happened.
